The PowerLeap Neo S370 is a cost-effective PPGA to FC-PGA CPU upgrade adapter. With the Neo S370, you can install an Intel Pentium III or Celeron "Coppermine" CPU (in the FC-PGA package) into a Socket 370 computer designed for an earlier-generation PPGA Celeron CPU.

Although the FC-PGA "Coppermine" and PPGA Celeron CPUs are both designed for Socket 370, there are important differences in the pin definitions and voltage requirements for these CPUs. For this reason, an FC-PGA "Coppermine" CPU will not run when directly inserted in the processor socket of a motherboard designed for the PPGA Celeron. The Neo S370 adapts the pin signals of FC-PGA CPUs so that they can run on motherboards with the PPGA form factor.

Features

bullet

Supports the Intel Pentium III (100/133MHz) and Celeron CPUs in the FC-PGA package. (Note: In order to use the Pentium III at 100MHz or 133MHz, your motherboard must support the 100MHz or 133MHz frontside bus, respectively.)

bullet

Allows drop-in CPU replacement, with no software drivers to install.

bullet

Includes a Power LED that lights when power is running through the motherboard. This is a safety feature that helps protect your installed FC-PGA CPU from damage that might occur if you remove the Neo S370 while the system power is turned on.

bullet

Compatible with the PowerLeap PL-PII and other slotkets (slot-to-socket adapters).

bullet

Includes a custom heatsink/fan that increases thermal dissipation and protects your FC-PGA CPU silicon die.
